Famille LESGOURGUESBAS ARMAGNAC, BORDEAUX, GRAVES, MADIRAN

History

Created in 1870 and located at the heart of Bas Armagnac, Château de Laubade is the most important property in Armagnac with 105 hectares of vines, guaranteeing total autonomy in terms of sourcing and production. It is also the estate that has received the most awards from international competitions and the trade press, and the only Armagnac House recognized as a World Class Distillery (at the World Spirits Awards in Austria in 2018, for the 9th year). «It all began when our grand-father, Maurice Lesgourgues, discovered Château de Laubade in 1974, it was a case of love at first sight! He immediately understood that this property had all the elements to offer the best from Armagnac ». «We continue to follow the path traced over the past 40 years by our father Jean-Jacques. Our strategy is based upon sustainable agriculture, environmentally friendly growing, traceability and the producing authentic wines from our “terroir”. Our mission is to produce wines and armagnacs of the highest quality. We strive to fulfil the desires and the expectations of today’s and tomorrow’s clients”.

Today

Arnaud and Denis Lesgourgues, 3rd generation, currently co-manage since 1999 the family business, their sister Jeanne joined in 2015.
